We throw them in a big pot with water, a splash of vinegar, onions, garlic, and whatever veggies we’ve got, then let it simmer low and slow for hours. It turns into a deep, rich broth that’s great on its own or as the base for soups and stews. The flavor is clean and full, and it just feels good to have something like that on hand.
If you want to mix things up, we’ll use it for homemade ramen, add it to a pot of beans, or cook rice in it for extra flavor. It’s also really good for vegetable soups, or even sipping warm in a mug when you want something comforting but light.
