This dish taught me the beauty of simple ingredients and home-cooked love. The rich, earthy flavors of this gravy paired with tender ground beef create a comfort food experience like no other. And oh, don't forget the mashed potatoes, because let's be honest, that extra gravy needs a home!

Ingredients
- (1 egg) 1 dozen - Pastured Corn & Soy Free Eggs
- (1/4 teaspoon) Worcestershire Sauce
- (1 dash) Liquid Smoke
- (1/4 teaspoon) Pepper
- (1/2 cup) Cracker Crumbs
- (1/4 cup) Minced Onion
- (1lb) Ground Beef
- (2 Tablespoons) Raw Salted Butter for Cats & Dogs, 1lb
- (8oz) Fresh Mushrooms, sliced thick
- (2) Garlic Cloves, crushed
Directions
- In a medium bowl, mix together egg, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, salt, pepper, cracker crumbs, and onion. Fold in ground beef and mix until just combined. Form into 7 round patties using ½ cup mixture per patty.
- In a large skillet, melt butter, and add patties to skillet.
- Cook on medium heat until both sides are brown. Remove patties from the skillet.
- Add mushrooms and garlic to pan drippings. Fry until garlic is soft and mushrooms are tender.
- Make gravy with the ingredients below: In a liquid measuring pitcher, whisk together milk, flour, salt, and pepper. While stirring, add milk mixture to skillet.
- Simmer until thickened. Add sour cream and stir until smooth. Return patties to skillet and simmer on low for 5 minutes.

- 2 tablespoons unbleached white flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- freshly ground pepper, to taste
- ¼ cup sour cream
