Directions
- In a medium bowl, mix together egg, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, salt, pepper, cracker crumbs, and onion. Fold in ground beef and mix until just combined. Form into 7 round patties using ½ cup mixture per patty.
- In a large skillet, melt butter, and add patties to skillet.
- Cook on medium heat until both sides are brown. Remove patties from the skillet.
- Add mushrooms and garlic to pan drippings. Fry until garlic is soft and mushrooms are tender.
- Make gravy: In a liquid measuring pitcher, whisk together milk, flour, salt, and pepper. While stirring, add milk mixture to skillet.
- Simmer until thickened. Add sour cream and stir until smooth. Return patties to skillet and simmer on low for 5 minutes.

- 2 tablespoons unbleached white
- flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- freshly ground pepper, to taste ¼ cup sour cream
