This easy and delicious recipe for Pasture Raised Chicken Livers features tender, lightly browned livers combined with sautéed onions, garlic and thyme. The hearty flavor of the dish is perfectly balanced with bursts of fresh parsley. Enjoy this nutrient dense dish cooked to perfection in just minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of pasture raised chicken livers
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon of thyme leaves
  • 1 tablespoon of minced parsley
  • Instructions:

Directions

  1. Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chicken livers and cook until lightly browned, about 4 minutes.
  3. Add the onions, garlic and thyme and continue to cook until the vegetables are tender, about 4 minutes more.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes or until the livers are cooked through.
  5. Remove from heat and sprinkle with parsley before serving. Enjoy!
