How We Cook It at Home

Beef heart is one of the easiest organ meats to enjoy. The flavor is rich and beefy, the texture is familiar, and it's loaded with nutrients that have made it a valued food for generations. 

We keep it simple. Cut it into pieces and simmer it into a hearty stew, or slice it thin and cook it hot and fast on the grill. It has a mild, beefy flavor and a nice texture when cooked right. It’s an easy way to add something a little more nourishing into your regular meals.

And did you know that beef heart makes stellar lunch meat? Simply boil a whole heart until done. Then, let it cool and slice for lunch meat. It’s a little more earthy than roast beef. It’s delicious!
