Baked Perfection: Pasture-Raised Chicken Drumsticks

Get ready for a delicious family-friendly dinner with this recipe for perfectly baked Pasture-Raised Chicken Drumsticks. It's so easy, you likely have all the ingredients on hand already. The final result? Drumsticks that are juicy and packed with flavor!

Ingredients

  • (8) pasture-raised chicken drumsticks (~2lb)
  • (1 Tbsp) Melted butter, ghee, or lard (your favorite cooking fat)
  • (1 tsp) Sea salt
  • (1/2 tsp) Black pepper
  • (1 tsp) Garlic powder
  • (1-1/2 tsp) Smoked paprika
  • (1/4 tsp) Chili powder
  • (1 tsp) Onion powder

Directions

  1. Get that oven preheated to 425F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with something nonstick. It could be a silicone mat or some of your melted cooking fat.
  3. Thoroughly dry the drumsticks. This is how you get crispy skin! Simply pat them down with a paper towel to remove that moisture.
  4. Put those drumsticks in a big ziplock bag or a big bowl with the melted fat and spices. Toss to coat.
  5. Place the drumsticks on the baking sheet and pop them in the oven. Cook for 40-45 minutes. The chicken temp should be 165F when done. Serve and enjoy!
